What it does
A kill switch that disables every Asteris Cart module and reverts checkout to vanilla WooCommerce — without uninstalling the plugin.
Why it matters
If something breaks during a high-traffic moment, Safe Mode is one click. Buys time to diagnose without losing the licence activation or risking data.
Where to find it
In WordPress admin: ★ Asteris Cart → Modules → Safe Mode. The module is enabled by default on every fresh install of a Starter-or-higher licence — disable from the same page if you don”t want it.
Per-module settings live under that same page once enabled. Global module on/off lives at ★ Asteris Cart → Modules (the master switch grid).

Tips
Safe Mode loads even if your licence is invalid — it’s deliberately the only always-on module. Treat it as the emergency-stop button.
